My First Impressions & Review
I have to say, however, even after watching videos beforehand, I was a bit intimidated with using it at first. Caydo provides an instruction manual is pretty easy to follow and includes lot of photos so it was pretty easy to assemble and use. I will say, after attaching the yarn to machine, I highly recommend a few manual cranks before turning the "on" dial - if you skip this step, you may end up with some funky looking i-cord!
PROS:
Caydo Electric I-Cord Knitting Tricotin Machine is easy to use and works fast! I was able to work up a a bunch of i-cords to make my wristlet keychains in record time! (see below for how I made them).
This machine is especially handy for making quick projects for markets or crafting. I would really like to try those i-cord letters I’ve been seeing so will have to see how that play out.
It uses medium weight #4 acrylic yarn! I have tons on hand and they are usually inexpensive to get so this is a bonus for me.
CONS:
The machine is noisy but not obnoxiously loud, in my opinion.
Machine is limited to lightweight to medium weight yarns such as acrylic or soft cotton. Based on the manual, worsted weight yarns with texture such as cotton (like Lily Sugar N’ Cream) or thicker yarns are not recommended. However, I have used light weight Bernat Softee Cotton yarn, which is a lightweight cotton, and it worked beautifully!
Overall, I think this will make a great addition to my craft collection, especially when I’m looking to make quick projects for markets or last minute gifts! There are so many other projects I have in mind, can't wait to get started on them.

How to make an Easy I-Cord wristlet keychain with Video Tutorial
Here’s how you can whip up some easy wristlet keychains from i-cords you’ve made with your machine or make a longer i-cord (around 24” to 30” in length) for a lanyard!
Supplies
12” to 14” i-cord from your Caydo Electric i-Cord Knitting Tricotin Machine
I used Redheart Super Saver and Bernat Softee Cotton to make my wristlets
I used 2mm cotton cord for some added texture to work the wrap knot but you may also use same yarn used to work wristlet.
Optional: Fabric glue
Instructions
Grab a your 12" i-cord and keychain.
Working inside of keyring, sew the ends of your i-cord together until secure.
Tie yarn tails together for extra security
Weave in ends.
Finish with a Wrap Knot:
Cut an 10" to 12" strand of yarn or cord.
Take 1 end of yarn and form a loop.
With loop facing away from keychain, place yarn/cord on keychain end of wristlet.
Leaving the short tail end of loop exposed and working your way towards top of loop, wrap yarn/cord several times around the loop and wristlet leaving top of loop exposed.
Use your smallest hook to pull yarn end tail through loop (I am using 2.75mm).
Pull short tail end of loop to tighten
Cut off excess and strand and use hook or needle to tuck ends into wrap knot
Use a crochet hook or needle to tuck ends into wrap knot.
Optional: You may use fabric glue on ends to keep in place.
That’s it, you are finished!!
Caydo Electric i-Cord Knitting Tricotin Machine makes crafting projects so easy, you’ll be making for days!
