Modified Cross Half Double Crochet Stitch

This short tutorial will show you how I work the modified cross half double crochet stitch for my Cross Towel Holder. I use a combination of single crochet (SC) and modified cross half double crochet (MCHDC) to work this towel holder pattern; This produces a dense finish with minimal stretch. I prefer to use Bernat Maker for this pattern but any medium weight #4 cotton yarn would work (finished look will differ):

Notes: A comma (,) indicates to work in next stitch.

Abbreviations Used

MCHDC = Modified Cross Half Double Crochet

SC = Single Crochet

SK = Skip

ST = Stitch
