3-Granny Square pouch Pattern video tutorial

I posted my Sunflower Granny Square back in June of this year and have finally found the perfect project for it. My original intention was to make a one of those cute granny square bags but when I realized you needed 11 to 12 granny squares, I wanted to create something that required a little less of the work but was equally satisfying and this 3 Granny Square Pouch was the end result :D. I am so happy with how it came out. This pouch fits my Samsung Galaxy Ultra phone (the larger phone) perfectly.

2 Bag Strap Options

This project comes together quite quickly. There are 2 adjustable strap options for this project that are demonstrated on my pattern as well as the video tutorial (choose your favorite, either one works!):

  • Strap Option 1: Romanian Cord - This pattern uses 2 strands of yarn to make the Romanian cord strap so although it does require double the yardage (as opposed to working with 1 strand), it is well worth it for the durability.

  • Strap Option 2: I-Cord - I happened to have one of those nifty automatic i-cord machines and I found the i-cords make great bag straps as well. The machine I use does come with a heftier price and I believe it is worth it if you are going to make the most of it but there are manual i-cord machines that cost less or even lots of free tutorials/resources online on how to crochet your own i-cord.

  • Non-Crochet Option (not demonstrated in video): If preferred, you may opt to attach a leather cross body bag strap and forgo having to make your own, all together.
